Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Pelvic
Reconstructive Surgery corrects problems of pelvic support such as:
cystocele (bladder "dropping"); urinary incontinece (leakage of urine);
rectocele (a bulge in the posterior aspect of the vagina); uterine
prolapse; vaginal prolapse (after hysterectomy); and enterocele (a type
of hernia of the vagina).
Laparoscopic Surgery Laparoscopic
Surgery uses minimally invasive techniques often on an outpatient basis
for diagnosis and treatment of: Pelvic Pain, Endometriosis, Pelvic
Adhesions (scar tissue), Ovarian Cysts, Tubal Ligation (sterilization).
Laparoscopic Surgical Techniques can also facilitate vaginal
hysterectomy and faster recuperation.
Urogynecology Urogynecology
deals with problems of control of urine such as incontinence (leakage
of urine when coughing, sneezing, bending, lifting etc.) Often there
are associated pelvic support problems such as cystocele (bladder
"dropping"); or uterine prolapse ("uterus falling out").
Ultrasound Ultrasound
uses safe sound waves to image the uterus, fetus, tubes and ovaries.
When performed by your physician in real time, the diagnostic process
is enhanced. Your physician is able to correlate your symptoms and
clinical information with the anatomic images generated to render a
diagnosis.
Obstetrics Obstetrics
is the care of both the pregnant woman and her unborn baby. Our
fundamental belief is that childbirth is a natural, life-event rather
than a "disease". Surveillance during prenatal care is aimed at
preventing complications as well as treating any problems that arise.
Vasectomy A
vasectomy is a sterilization procedure perfomed on men in the office
using some sedation and local anesthesia. It is as effective as a tubal
ligation without the need for general anesthesia. Dr. Musinski is
probably the only OB/Gyn in San Diego who performs this procedure.
Tubal Reversal Surgery Tubal
Reversal Surgery involves microsurgical techniques to reverse a tubal
ligation procedure. The overall success is in the range of 50-70%
depending on patient age, type of tubal ligation procedure performed
and other factors.
In-office no-incision sterilization The
Essure procedure offers permanent sterilization without incisions or
general anesthesia. There are no scars and rapid recuperation.
Permanent Treatment of Heavy Periods Endometrial
Ablation offers permanent treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding
(menorrhagia) with no incisions and rapid recuperation.
